Digiflavor Pharaoh Mini RTA

The Digiflavor Pharaoh Mini RTA is the product of a collaboration between Digiflavor and YouTube personality Rip Trippers. It has all the essentials of similar RTAs but with a few added options and a lot of accessories.

Product Name + Testing and Performance

I have had this RTA for about two weeks now and I am really liking how it performs. I took a little longer with it because I had some issues with assembling the pieces when changing the tank over to the 5 mil version. I practiced with it a few times and now I love it. Here are some specs for it and a breakdown on how it performed during the testing.

Build quality and design

This TRA is constructed from 304 quality stainless steel and is very sturdy in my opinion. It has that heavy feel to it and the finish on it keeps it from collecting fingerprints and smudges. It has a sandblasted finish so it’s smooth but not shiny. I also happen to love the Ulrem drip tip that comes with it. It's very comfortable and does not get hot ever.

The barrel does seem a little too big like it is crowded in the tank. Even with the 5 mil tank, it doesn’t feel like you’re really getting 5 mils in there. It doesn’t seem that big in the smaller version, maybe because the shorter tank is more rounded and not so tall. This is just my observation though, it doesn’t change how it vapes at all.

Build Deck

The deck is really easy to build on. The clamps are spring-loaded so once you have your coil built, you just slide the lead under and tighten down the screws. There is a wide space there for large builds or thick wires.

There are side channels for the wicks. After trimming your wicks tuck the cotton into the side slots loosely. You don’t want to pack it tightly because you can get dry hits if the cotton doesn’t get saturated enough.

A trick I learned from another builder is to trim one side of the wicks diagonally so they fit, but it’s not compacted with cotton. This method worked perfectly for me.

Tank Capacity

I like large tanks so I really like the inclusion of the bigger glass tank. I like to fill up once a day and vape all day long so this is a plus for me. The smaller tank is included for those who have the compliance issues for 2 mils only.

Durability/Reliability

If you remove the glass tank and look just at the metal construction, this tank is very durable. I haven’t had the occasion to drop it yet but I think if I did it would survive with no damage.

Ease of Use

As far as building on it, filling it, and vaping on it, this is really easy to use. Once you get past the assembly issues for the different tank sizes, it is a breeze to use. This is fast becoming one of my favorite atomizers.

Vaping Experience

Using the Pharaoh has been very enjoyable for me. At first, I wasn’t so sure about it because of all the parts and pieces to change it. I was a little intimidated to try it because it all seemed so complicated, but once I sat down with it and took it apart and reassembled it a few times I felt more confident with it. Once I started vaping on it though, I couldn’t put it down.

Filling

I love the top-fill design because it is so easy to open the cap and fill the tank. The juice ports are large so if you have large bottle tips they will easily fit in there. I have just poured juice from a medicine cup because the bottle tip was too small and took forever to fill the tank. The ports are wide enough to pour in without dripping or overflowing as some do.

Leaking

I haven’t really had any issues with leaking. It does have the juice flow control, so if you want to top off your juice when it’s about halfway you will need to remember to close of the juice flow before opening the top. If you wait until it is closer to being empty then there is no worry of leaking if you don’t close them off. It is only when there is still juice in the tank because of the vacuum seal.

Cloud

The vapor production from this RTA is good as well. It’s a toss-up to me about whether it has better flavor or vapor, it does both really well. I get a lot of vapor and the clouds are thick and fluffy. For those cloud chasers, you will definitely love this one, and if you go more for flavor then it has that covered as well.

Flavor

The Pharaoh mini has some pretty great flavor. I don’t know if it is the build I have in it or the smooth conical dome-shape at the top, but whatever it produces the best flavor I have had from an RTA so far. I tested this using a sweet and sour blue-raspberry and I could taste each one of the notes in the juice perfectly. I think I like this even more than my Griffin for flavor.

What We Liked

+ Juice flow control
+ Many options for drip tips
+ Top-fill design with large juice ports
+ Compatible with hybrid devices
+ Locking screw keeps tank firmly in place

What We Didn't

- Chamber takes up a lot of room in the tank

Value

This RTA is priced at $25 - $30 through most online retailers. The price is really good for everything you get with this tank. So many options and so many accessories make this a great value for the money spent. I have spent $30 on tanks that come with a lot less and no options for a bigger tank size. This is one of our top rated RTA tanks available today. If you want to get all the info on the latest and greatest RDA's or RTA's, check out License to Vape's RTA reviews here.

Final Verdict

This is a great tank overall, the ability to change from a 2 mil tank to a 5 mil tank, and the easy to build on deck make this a steal at less than $35. For all of these options, I would expect to pay more, but I like the fact that the price is affordable for anyone’s budget. There is also supposed to be a velocity-style deck, and postless style deck coming out in the near future. The inclusion of other deck options will increase its value even more.

Tips for First-Time Vapers

Congratulations, you have just joined the vaping community and bought your first vape device. Now what? Often when new vapers start out they have no idea where to begin or how to even use their device properly.

There is a bit of a learning curve to vaping, especially if you are just getting off cigarettes. It is pretty easy once you get used to the difference between vaping and smoking, and where you are allowed to vape (and where you can’t). We have included some general tips for first-time vapers on how to use and charge their device for the first time.

To Be a Responsible Vaper You Need to:

Know the Laws in Your State

State laws differ from one state to another. It is best to find out what the regulations are in your state before you start vaping. Certain states have pending anti-vaping legislation or legislation that has already passed. You can find that out by looking at the License to Vape Vaping State Laws page.

Know Where Vaping is Permitted

Most states allow vaping in the same areas where smoking is permitted (again, check your state laws). Several states have a version of the “Clean Air Act” and will not allow you to vape at any indoor sporting event or in enclosed areas like restaurants and bars. You also cannot vape within so many feet of federal buildings or on school property.

Follow the Rules

To be a responsible vaper means following the rules and setting a good example. If you vape during work hours, do so only in designated smoking areas and on your breaks.

Don’t block the entrance to stores blowing big clouds of vapor. Vaping is still new to some people and they are a little intimidated by it, plus you don’t want to give the impression that you are not being respectful of their right not to breathe in your vape cloud.

Practice Personal Safety

If you vape while out and about, be sure to turn the device off when finished.  5 clicks turns your device off and it is then safe to put in your pocket or purse while you go about your day. A device that is turned off cannot activate and poses no danger to you or anyone else.

Some Things to Know for a First-Time Vape:

1. How to Activate Your Device

If you have purchased a vape pen, then turning the device on is as simple as (5) clicks to turn it on and off. When you click the power button 5 times the button will blink for a few seconds and that tells you it is ready to use. It will also blink a different color light when the battery is getting low to let you know it’s time to charge.

For a cig-a-like device, there may be a power button (manual) or no power button (automatic). If you have a button just press while inhaling. If no button, then it is activated by inhaling alone.

2. Make Sure it is Charged

You will need to charge the device before vaping. Attach the charging cable to the micro USB port on the device and wait until it is fully charged. Individual devices vary, but there should be a “battery indicator light” on the device or on the charging piece that lets you know when the charging cycle has completed.

3. How to Set the Wattage/Voltage

Some devices may have a LED screen with buttons to set the wattage or a knob at the bottom to adjust the voltage. The best rule of thumb is to set the wattage low to start and increase it a little at a time until it is where you like it.

You should know the wattage recommendations for your coil (it is sometimes written on the coil head) or may be listed on the back of the box your device came in. Start a little lower than the recommended wattage and go up slowly until you find the “sweet spot” or where it works best for you.

If your device uses volts like a Twist, the lowest setting is 3.2 and goes up to 4.8. Depending on your vape tank coil head, you can turn it to 3.9 or 4.2 on most standard resistance coils (2.4 - 3.0) and a little higher for lower resistance coils (1.5 - 2.0). Sub-ohm coils are anything under 1.0 ohms. Most beginner devices that use sub-ohm coils are between 0.5 and 0.8 and can be vaped at 30 - 50W.

These are guidelines only, just do what works best for you, even if it is lower than what is stated on the coil. Nobody ever burned a coil from wattage that was set too low. You just won’t get much vapor if it is too low. Keep trying until it is just right.

4. Fill with E-liquid

Before your first vape, you will need to make sure you have e-liquid in your tank. Once filled, make sure not to vape it (the e-liquid) all the way to the bottom of the tank. If the tank is too low you could get dry hits or burn your coil because there is not enough e-liquid to keep it wet. Dry hits are bad and may burn your throat and make you cough terribly. As a general rule of thumb, always top off your tank when it gets below the midline. That way you never have to worry about dry hits.

5. The Draw on an E-cigarette or Vape Pen is Different Than Smoking

With a cigarette, you take short draws and then exhale the smoke through your mouth. When drawing on an electronic cigarette or vape pen you do just the opposite. The draw should be long and slow to get a good amount of vapor in your mouth and then inhale it into your lungs.

Mouth-to-lung hits as they are called should be done slowly to the count of “5” instead of a quick pull. This is the proper technique for drawing on an e-cigarette. If you don’t get much vapor the first few tries just keep practicing your technique. A common problem new vapers experience is not getting much vapor initially because their draw is wrong.

How Long is “a Vape?”

If you were a smoker you were finished when you got to the end of your cigarette. But vaping is different from smoking and it may be hard to know when to stop. There is no right or wrong answer, it just depends on how long it takes for you to be satisfied. Your body absorbs the nicotine from vapor differently and it may take several minutes to realize that you no longer feel the need for nicotine. That is when you know you’re finished. Just vape until the urge goes away and start again when it returns.

Does Vaping Cause Cancer?

No matter where you look these days there are dozens of these “Vaping Causes Cancer” and “May Cause DNA mutations” stories plastered all over the Internet. Why?  Because headlines like these get attention and people tend to respond more to emotional stimuli.

All of these stories in the headlines just repeat what the study said but do not give statistics and even agree that because the subjects were mice and human cells grown in a lab, there is no way to know how these results would be compared to tests performed on human vapers.

Also, because there have been no human tests on people who vape electronic cigarettes there is nothing to compare the data to. It wouldn’t be that hard to get a test group of 100 vapers who have been vaping the last 5 - 10 years and have not smoked cigarettes. A control group such as this could have more defined results. The claims being made about risks of cancer, heart disease, and lung damage would be dispelled pretty quickly.

Headlines Used as Clickbait

The media headlines talking about cancer risks from vaping just repeat what similar articles say and are meant to get people to click them for ad revenue. It is a fear-based tactic that works, so they continue to use it. The articles they are quoting is scientific reports that suggest it but never provide links to the actual research where you can go and read it yourself. The titles give the impression that there is new "evidence" or "proof" but it is all just to get people to click that link.

And towards the end of the article, they admit that vaping is less harmful than smoking due to the absence of the carcinogens in cigarette smoke. They like to compare nicotine and tobacco as being the culprits but nicotine is not only sourced from tobacco but from many other substances as well.

Sources of Nicotine Other Than Tobacco

For instance, did you know that certain vegetables have nicotine in them? Tomatoes, eggplant, potatoes, peppers, and cauliflower all contain small amounts of nicotine.  Not all sources of nicotine come from tobacco.

Despite the fact that these vegetables contain nicotine, nobody ever says you shouldn't eat eggplant or potatoes. But then again, nicotine does not cause cancer, tar is what causes cancer and the chemical toxins in the burning tobacco and paper.

The nicotine you purchase from the vape shop and from online supplies does not contain tobacco at all. There is no tobacco is nicotine liquid, just nicotine and the diluents PG/VG and flavoring. More or less, nicotine is not the bad guy here. It has gotten a bad reputation and anti-vaping groups like to blame everything on nicotine due to its use as an addictive factor in cigarette smoking.

Even the American Cancer Society has posted their official position on vaping as “being less harmful than smoking, but that the long-term effects are unknown”.

Quotes from Public Health England on The Safety of Vaping

"There is much public misunderstanding about nicotine (less than 10% of adults understand that most of the harms to health from smoking are not caused by nicotine)."

"It would be tragic if thousands of smokers who could quit with the help of an e-cigarette are being put off due to false fears about their safety."

So despite all the media scare tactics they still concede that vaping is less harmful than smoking and that nicotine does not cause cancer.  To answer the burning question, “Does vaping cause cancer?” The answer is no. There has been no published scientific data to prove those claims.

A report published by the American Council on Science and Health called Nicotine and Health, written by Dr. Murray Laugesen states, “Electronic cigarette vapor appears chemically incapable of causing cancer as cigarette smoke has done. E-cigarette vapor contains toxicants concentrations averaging less than one percent of the concentrations in tobacco cigarette smoke.” You can get all the best vape guide info you need from License to Vape here.

Kanger Subvod Vape Pen Review

The ever-popular vape pen is making a comeback. The Kanger Subvod is a vape pen with a sub-ohm tank that was designed with beginning vapers in mind. It is easy to use and great for those wanting to quit cigarettes.

Kanger Subvod Testing and Performance

The Kangertech name has long been associated with high-quality vape products. The Subvod is a combination vape pen and tube mod with a sub-ohm tank that pushes out clouds like the more technologically advanced sub-ohm tanks.

This little device performs more along the lines of a mod rather than a vape pen.

It has the long tube body with built-in 1300mah battery and sports a sub-ohm tank with adjustable airflow and uses Kanger SSOC coils. I got this device about a week ago and so far it has been performing really well and I am in love with it already. Here is some information on the device and an overview of the kit contents.

Build quality and Design

I really like the look of this vape pen. It resembles a tube mod and the sub ohm tank works great with the 0.5-ohm coils. You can use other resistances in this tank and the battery will self-adjust the wattage to the coil resistance automatically. You could go higher resistance but the device will not power on at less than 0.4 ohms.

I ordered the pink one and it came in a nice little box with a matching pink charging cable.

Durability/Reliability

This device is pretty sturdy, I haven’t had any accidents with it but if I did it does come with a spare glass tank just in case. It feels like a well-made device and Kangertech is a quality manufacturer of vapor products.

Ease of Use

It is easy to use and easy to charge as well. It is a simple device so you just plug the charging cable into the port on the bottom of the battery and you can vape while it’s charging (pass-through).

You never have to worry about the battery going dead as long as you have a charger with you. You can charge it with your laptop or by an outlet with a wall adapter. The battery charges in 2 - 3 hours and will last the average vaper most of the day.

Vaping Experience

I have been enjoying this vape pen very much. I wish I would have had something like this when I first got started vaping. This would have been perfect for me back then. Since I like this device so much I have recommended it to a couple of friends who want to start vaping.

It has good flavor and makes quite a bit of vapor for a small device. I am really loving it.

This is one device that I will keep in my collection of vape gear for running errands and trips around town because it requires no adjusting of any kind. I just fill it and it’s ready to go.

Filling

Filling the tank is super easy with the top-fill design. Simply unscrew the very top ring (careful not to turn the glass at the same time) and remove to find the large juice slots and the center ring. The fill holes are large enough to fit most bottle tops. Fill and replace the top and you’re ready to vape again.

Leaking

I have not had any problems with leaking, even when laying the device down on the desk for charging. It seems to be an airtight system with no leaks or gurgling.

Cloud

The Toptank Nano produces quite an impressive amount of vapor for just using a 0.5-ohm coil. It’s a great little tank that produces vapor on par with some of the more advanced tanks on the market. The wide open air slots on the bottom create good airflow to the coils and the stainless steel coils are some of the best I have used so far. I wasn’t expecting this set up to produce the amount of vapor that it does. It performs very well and is a well-made device.

Flavor

This tank uses the SSOC coils which means stainless steel and organic cotton wicking. They produce really good flavor in this device. The taste of the juice comes through and the increased airflow produces good vapor as well.

What We Liked

+ Easy to use
+ Top-fill tank
+ Large fill ports
+ Great Performance
+ Ability to use other drip tips

What We Didn't

- Don’t like the charging port on the bottom, but can vape while charging (not really a con)

Value

I love how affordable this vape pen is.

I have seen it advertised on different websites for $20 - $29 dollars. This is a great device for under $30. And the replacement coils come in packs of 5 for around $12 and they are compatible with the Kanger Subtank, Nebox, and Toptank Mini as well making it an even better value.

Final Verdict

The Kanger Subvod is perfect for new vapers just getting started because it is compact and stylish, and affordably priced at less than $30 for a complete kit.

The SSOC coil heads come in 0.5, 1.5, and 1.2 resistances for versatility in your vaping experience.

I recommend this device to anyone wanting something simple and easy to use to get started vaping or as a backup device to add to their collection. It might be an eliquid vape pen geared towards new vapers but experienced vapers who like simple devices will love it as well. You can get all the latest vape pen reviews from License to Vape here.

Innokin Coolfire 4 Plus with Apex iSub Tank Review

The Innokin Coolfire 4 Plus is an upgraded version of the Coolfire 4. The upgraded version increases the wattage from 40 to 70 W and the minimum resistance from 0.3 to 0.1 for the coil heads. Plus it is compatible with other tank systems for versatility in vaping.

Innokin Coolfire 4 Plus + Testing and Performance

I spent a week with this device and tank trying it out and I actually like it. I didn’t think I would at first, but the more I used it the better the vaping experience became. I normally like to run my wattage between 40 - 60 watts for .5 to .8 ohm coils but the iSub coil heads at 35W worked perfectly for me. I got good vapor production and great flavor from the tank with the airflow open ½ way.

Build quality and Design

I really like the ergonomic design of this mod. The rounded corners are more comfortable for holding and it slides easily into my pocket for quick trips to the store.

Durability

It feels very sturdy and durable. It is lightweight and feels good in your hand. I have not had any accidents ( by dropping) so I haven’t really been able to see if it resists scratches or dings. But just with everyday usage, I have not incurred any. It looks and feels like a well-made product.

Ease of Use

The Innokin Coolfire 4 Plus is very easy to use and I like the simplicity of the device. The menu system is also very simple for those who don’t want to scroll through to find out how to change their wattage. This would be perfect for someone who wants to step up to a mod but does not want all the complicated menus and features of some other higher-wattage mods.

Ergonomics

This mod is perfectly suited for your hand. The corners are rounded and it tapers in to allow for a comfortable grip. The buttons on the side are smooth and easy to press with your finger or thumb, depending on which way you turn it.

Features and functions

When you hit the fire button the battery indicator light flashes green, yellow or red depending on the charge left in the battery. I like this feature because it tells me immediately if my battery is getting low without having to look at the screen display. I also like that I can flip the screen around and a big plus is the ability to vape while charging (pass-through mode). I never have to worry about leaving for the day without a full charge because I can charge and vape on the go.

Wattage and Power

The integrated battery and chipsets deliver a maximum of 70 W. If you don’t vape in the higher wattages this would work well for you. The coil heads that come with the Apex iSub tank are .5 and are rated for 25 - 35 W, but you can use other tanks with the mod as well.

Battery Life

Battery life for this device is good when using the coil heads that come with it. If you’re using another tank with different coils you may need to charge more than once per day, depending on the wattage you’re using. At 35 W this battery lasts me all day, but if I switch out for another tank I find it drains the battery quicker because I’m using a higher wattage (to be expected).

What We Liked

+ Top-fill system
+ Tank is leak-proof
+ USB port is on the front
+ Easy menu navigation
+ Includes an extra coil head
+ Pass-through charging capabilities
+ Easy to change coil heads ( no draining tank first)

What We Didn't

- Tanks have a bit of a gap on top
- Fill holes instead of wider slots
- Can’t see when the tank is full
- Cannot disassemble tank to clean

Value

This mod kit is priced between $55 and $65 through most online retailers. This mod does not have a temperature control so some people may think that the price is high for not having a TC mode. Personally, I don’t need TC mode because I prefer using wattage mode so it is not a dealbreaker for me. To me, $55 is a good price for a mod with a tank that works well.

Final Verdict

I really like this mod and think it would be great for vapers wanting to move up to sub-ohm vaping because the coil heads are rated for 25 - 35 watts and at that rate the draw is smooth and easy with good airflow and vapor production. Also it is priced similar to other mods in the same category. Not having temperature control is not a drawback if you don’t use it. I recommend getting one if you’re curious about trying out a moderate wattage device.

Pioneer4U IPV5 200W Box Mod Review

If you are in the market for a good-looking, well-priced mod with temperature control then read this review of the Pioneer4U IPV5. It is made by IPV Technology Co. Ltd. of Shenzhen, China. Previous version of the IPV used a single 18650 battery with wattage up to 80W, but the upgraded IPV5 uses two 18650 batteries with up to 200W of power.

Pioneer4U IPV5 200W Testing and Performance

I have been using the Pioneer4U IPV5 for the past couple of weeks and have been very pleased with the performance of the device. It has held up to some wear and tear from durability tests and come out looking pretty good. The power of this device is good, it goes all the way from 10W to 200W. The memory settings allow you to customize the wattage for your favorite tanks in standard and TC mode. The IPV5 has made our best mods advanced vapor list.

Build Quality and Design

I like the design of this mod. Its rounded and smooth edges make it comfortable when using. It looks good with different tanks and RDAs in the same colors and finish. It is eye-pleasing as well as functional. It is also very sturdy and durable with a heaviness that reminds me of die-cast metal toys.

The battery door is magnetic and can be opened from the side by grabbing it with a thumbnail but can also be accessed by pulling down with your thumb from the top. While this is easy for changing the batteries, it can become a fidget once you get used to opening it this way. I find myself playing with the door while holding it. It does also rattle just a little bit.

Durability

The difference here between this mod and some of the others of the comparable size, is that this mod feels heavy. It is very sturdy, I have dropped it (just the mod, no tank) several times from a waist-high table just to see if it would crack or fall apart and I only got a couple of scratches but no dents.

Ease of Use

This is a pretty simple device to use. I don’t know that I would recommend it to new vapers , it is more suited to intermediate vapers with an understanding of temperature control and coil/wire compatibility. Once you have set your wattage or heat where you want it all you have to do is fill a tank and vape. Pretty easy.

Ergonomics

This mod feels very good in the hand. The edges and corners are rounded and smooth making it very comfortable to hold. It fits the hand well and the buttons are easily accessible for either hand (lefties or righties). The doors have a little indentation for easy gripping.

Features and Functions

The features for this include the Yihi SX340 chipset board, a host of built-in user protections (low voltage protection, low resistance protection, short-circuit protection, and reverse battery protection) temperature control, and a bright OLED display. Menu system is fairly simple, adjustments are made by pressing the power button along with the up/down buttons.

Wattage and Power

The IPV 5 is powered by two 18650 batteries with a maximum wattage of 200W. It has very good power output and accurate wattage settings. I tend to vape between 40 - 60 watts most of the time because I prefer a cooler vape. I tested the wattage at higher settings and they are good, just a little too warm for me around 120W.

Battery Life

Battery life depends on 3 things: coil resistance, wattage settings, and vaping frequency. If you are a chain vaper (like me) you will run through your battery quicker than someone who vapes less frequently. Also, higher resistances and lower wattage settings will use less battery power as well. So it really depends on your usage and settings as to how long between charges.

Value

Priced under $50, this mod is a well-made piece of vaping technology that will be a round for a long time due to its versatility. It is compatible with tanks and RDAs with a minimum resistance of 0.15 ohms for standard coils and 0.05 for TC coils.

What We Liked

+ Firmware is upgradeable
+ Temperature control settings
+ Customizable memory settings

What We Didn't

- Battery door has a little play
- No pass-through vaping
- Wattage is changed through memory settings only

Final Verdict

This is a sturdy, well-made mod and I would recommend it to vapers wanting something budget-priced with TC mode. It does not come with a tank but can be used with any tank or RDA you have on hand. It is priced well for a 200W mod with temperature control. Make sure you check out all the License to Vape box mods we have reviewed to get a feel for some of the best mods available today.

Halo Tribeca Juice Review

Halo is a company with a long-standing reputation for high-quality e-liquids. The Halo brand was created in 2009 by three guys with a plan to make the best e-liquid at an affordable price. They wanted to create a product that stood for quality and excellence.

A little about Halo:

Halo takes a first-class approach to their e-liquid production. Their signature line of juice is manufactured by expert chemists at their facility in Gainsville, Florida. Each batch of liquid is quality tested prior to being bottled and meets good manufacturing practices. The e-liquid is steeped when it arrives and that accounts for its rich smooth flavor. It is ready to use right out of the box.

Halo Tribeca Testing and Performance

This review is based on a 30 ml bottle of Halo Tribeca at 12mg. The Tribeca flavor is an RY4 tobacco flavor. RY4 stands for Ruyan (named after the founder of the Ruyan Group, Hon Lik) which is a flavor profile with hints of vanilla and caramel mixed with a smooth Virginia tobacco flavor.

It comes in a blue glass bottle with a dropper in a plain package. Upon opening the bottle, the liquid inside is a light brown and smells very mild. I can smell vanilla and caramel and a little bit of spiciness like ginger.

I am using this juice on a 2.2 ohm Boge cartomizer with my mod wattage set to 10W. I would normally test juices this way with an eGo-style battery and clearomizer but I gave it away to a friend who lost their vape pen, so I had to improvise. I have the wattage turned down low to avoid burning the juice.

On the inhale, I get a smooth rich flavor of slightly sweet caramel and mild vanilla. On the exhale, I get the Virginia tobacco, a kind of nutty flavor like hazelnuts and a distinct flavor of maple.

I have tried two other flavors from Halo, Kringle’s Curse and Midnight Apple Tobacco. Both of those were really good as well. They have added more tobacco flavors which I haven’t had a chance to try yet but since these flavors have all been good so far I will definitely try more.

Value

I ordered a 30ml bottle for $20 because they seemed to be out of stock on other sizes. I really like the flavor so I would recommend it to other vapers who like tobacco flavors as well.

Vape Flavor

The vanilla and caramel flavor is sweet, but not overly sweet. It’s a nice rich flavor, a little sweet and very smooth. It has a good throat hit, that little thump in the back of your throat. It would be very easy to use this as an all-day vape.

Vapor Cloud

It has a surprising amount of vapor for a 70PG/30VG blend. It might be even better for vapor production in a higher VG formulation. Since I’m testing this in a cartomizer I didn’t order it in high VG. In a tank or RDA, I would suggest that if you get it in high VG that you lower the nicotine to 12 or even 6mg. Sub ohm coils and high nicotine is not a good mix.

What We Liked

+ Smooth tobacco flavor
+ Notes of caramel and vanilla
+ Comes already steeped
+ Full-bodied flavor
+ Good throat hit

What We Didn't

- Need more sizes available

Final Verdict

I think Halo has mastered the tobacco flavor market with this one. It is actually hard to get a “real” tobacco flavor since that flavor that tobacco vapers are looking for comes from burning leaves. Halo has several other tobacco flavors that I would like to try as well, but I would recommend this to fellow tobacco flavor vapers.

Halo’s other tobacco flavors are Torque 56, Turkish, Prime, Midnight Apple, Black Calico, and Pirate’s Creed. They also have some sample packs in a variety of flavors so you can try some before committing to buying larger sizes.
