Innokin iTaste MVP 3 Box Mod Review

When choosing a box mod, go for a brand name that is associated with high-quality products. The MVP 3.0 from Innokin is an improvement on an already widely-popular device. Version 3 has some upgrades and features that make it an even better value and a great starter device for new vapers looking for their first mod. Read on to find out more about it.

Innokin iTaste MVP 3 Testing and Performance

The Innokin iTaste MVP 3.0 box mod is an upgrade to the previous version with more wattage (30W instead of 20W), longer battery life (3800 mah) and included eGo to 510 adapter for your favorite eGo-style tanks.

The original MVP was my first ever box mod and I loved it. It did have some issues which were corrected in version 3 which I also love. I have had a great experience using the MVP 3 and think it would be a great device for vapers of all experience levels since it is so easy to use. Here is an overview of what it comes with and some information on how it works.

Build quality and Design

It is the same form factor and design as the MVP 2.0 but a little larger and more defined. The design is meant to look sharper and edgier, which it does. It is more squared on the corners and edges instead of the rounded corners of the previous version. The buttons and the OLED screen are larger and easier to use as well. The menu system is very easy to navigate, even for a beginning vaper.

Durability

This is a very solid and well-made device. Innokin is well-known for their high-quality vapor products. All the threads are very smooth and there are no loose parts to rattle or squeak. I have had no issues with this device at all and believe it to be a very durable piece of vaping equipment.

Ease of Use

This device is very easy to use with 3 clicks to turn it on & off. To change from voltage to wattage mode, hold the power button along with the ( - ) button until the number flashes. Then use the ( + ) button to increase the voltage in +1 increments. To switch to wattage, hold the power button and the ( + ) button. If you hold the plus and minus button together the screen will flip from right to left for those left-handed vapers. That is the extent of the menu system.

Ergonomics

The MVP 3 is slightly larger and taller than the original MVP, and somewhat square and boxy. It fits the hand and is comfortable to hold.

Features and functions

I love that this device has a nice clear OLED display that is easy to read and easy navigation menu.

It has an adapter for eGo-style atomizers and spring-loaded 510 connection for sub-ohm tanks.

It also has some built-in user protections like low voltage or short circuit, and the device will automatically shut off to avoid damage to the device if there are any problems.

It has a real-time ohm meter that will display your atomizer coil and alert you in the event you try and use an atomizer that is below the minimum resistance ( 0.4 ohms). It will flash and the device will not power on until you disconnect the atomizer. I think this is one of the best features this device has for user safety.

Wattage and Power

This device is a variable voltage/variable wattage system with a maximum output of 30W or 9 volts depending on the mode you use it in. It has plenty of power to run your favorite atomizer tanks for joyous vaping all day long.

Battery Life

The MVP 3.0 has an integrated 3800 mah battery that is capable of charging other devices through a built-in charging cable on the bottom of the device. The maximum wattage for this device is 30W so the battery will last a long time and it also has pass-through charging so in the event you drained the battery charging your phone you can plug into your laptop and vape while it recharges. You’ll never be left with a dead battery.

What We Liked

+ Micro USB charging
+ Pass-through vaping
+ Capable of charging other devices
+ Similar in size to the original MVP
+ The power button is on the front (not on the side)

What We Didn't

- There really isn’t much not to like about this device. It does not have a charging piece for the iPhone which isn’t really a con since you can just carry your phone charger and plug it into the USB port on the bottom.

Value

I have seen this mod advertised online through various retailers for $39.95 which is a good deal in my opinion. This device has so many positive features to it that make it a great value at any price. It does not come with an atomizer but it works very well with a number of sub ohm tanks including the Kanger Subtank and Aspire Atlantis.

Final Verdict

Innokin had a great product in the MVP 2, and now with the MVP 3, things have gotten even better. For a lot of vapers, the MVP 2 was their first real mod (including myself) so the new and improved version 3 is a welcome addition to any vaping collection. I love the new version and highly recommend it to any new vapers looking for their first mod. It is beautiful, well-made, and affordable on any budget. What’s not to love.

Geekvape Aegis 100W Box Mod Review

I know a few vapers who tend to have butterfingers, meaning that they are always dropping their mods or knocking them over. Those fancy-looking mods have no chance of surviving around them.  If you know someone who happens to be a little clumsy I’ve got just the mod for them.

Geekvape Aegis 100W Mod Testing and Performance

The Aegis is the first mod on the market that is waterproof, dustproof, and almost indestructible. It is constructed of military-grade stainless steel and designed to be durable enough to withstand any environment, whether it is indoors or outdoors. This mod is perfect for those vapers who work outdoors or in situations where they are exposed to various climates and environments.

It is also great for those vapers who tend to have butter fingers (drops their mod a lot). It is constructed of military-grade stainless steel and is made to survive being dropped in water (water-proof and shock-resistant) and is sealed to prevent dust from getting inside and damaging the components.

I’m amazed that a 100W mod with temperature control can run so well off a single 26650 battery. It also has the option to use a 18650 battery as well so you could carry a spare if you need to for extended shifts. Her is a little information about this durable mod from Geekvape.

Build quality and Design

The design for the Aegis is pretty straightforward. It is designed for functionality but not so much for style. It has leather on the hand grip and metal construction. The power button is a little odd though, it looks as though you should push it because it has a raised point. It just clicks down so I don’t understand why they didn’t just make it flat. It would make more sense. But it is supposed to look rugged for the outdoors lovers.

Durability

This device is built tough and is extremely durable. There have been numerous people on Youtube purposely trying to see if they could damage this mod by running it over with a vehicle, throwing against a wall, and dropping it in the toilet so I already know it will not be damaged at all by being dropped to the floor or falling off my desk. Plus I don’t want to ruin my mod by doing any of those things. I’m pretty sure it would survive and still work fine but I like it the way it is.

Ease of Use

This mod works in temperature control and wattage mode equally well. I don’t use temperature control that much because I only have a couple of tanks that use Ni200 coils. I am a wattage vaper and it works great in my opinion. It is easy to use, easy to change the battery and I love how the battery orientation is marked inside the battery casing. That way you don’t have to guess which way the battery goes in.

Ergonomics

This has a kind of heavy feel to it and it fits nicely in the hand. I’m not exactly sure if you’re supposed to use the power button with your thumb or finger but I tend to use it with my thumb and it feels pretty good that way.

Features and functions

The features of this device are temperature control as well as wattage mode. The battery door has a little lift spring to help you remove it and has seals around it to keep dust out of the battery compartment. It has an easy-to-read OLED display, easy navigation, and memory settings.

Wattage and Power

The Aegis is a 100W single battery mod so the maximum wattage is 100W. For a single battery, depending on the resistance of your atomizer, it can last a full day as long as you aren’t running it above 60 - 65W. I keep mine right around 60W and only have to charge it at night. I am also using a sub ohm tank with a coil resistance of 0.7 so it conserves battery power by using a higher resistance.

Battery Life

Battery life is good on this device if you keep it below 100W. It wouldn’t last as long for someone using super low resistance coils and running it at maximum power. You’d have to charge it more often or buy extra batteries. At full power, it would deplete the battery and then it would just shut off until you recharge it. I was not familiar with the Golisi IMR battery that came with it but it is a 35A high-drain battery and is similar in appearance and function as the Ijoy 26650 batteries.

I recommend keeping the wattage at 60 for a balance of steady power and good battery life. It performs just as well at lower wattages as it does higher ones. And higher resistance atomizers help conserve battery power as well.

What We Liked

+ Spring-loaded 510 connection
+ Battery orientation marked with X
+ Military-grade stainless steel construction
+ Strong and durable
+ Waterproof, dustproof, shockproof

What We Didn't

- There really isn’t anything I didn’t like about this mod

Value

I purchased this mod for $39.95 + tax and have seen it advertised by various online retailers for $40 - $54.99. I feel that this is a good mod and well worth every penny. For a durable vape device that is compatible with various coil types, uses temperature control, and is waterproof you couldn’t ask for a better deal for less than $60.

Final Verdict

I have been wanting to get one of these for some time now and I am so glad I did. I love it and think it is one of the best purchases I have made this year. I try to buy things that last and tend to keep things more than other people. I still have some really old RDAs because I like how they vape.

This mod will last you a long time and perform well under any circumstances. Whether you work outside or inside, it will take the daily wear and tear and keep right on going. This is a must-have in my opinion and I recommend it very highly to any vaper who wants a durable device at a great price.

Apollo OHM Go Vape Pen Review

For someone looking for a vaping device that looks and acts like a traditional cigarette, the Apollo Ohm Go might be just what you need. This device is small and fits in your pocket and has a draw similar to that of a cigarette. It is the perfect combination for someone looking for their first vape device.

Apollo OHm Go Testing and Performance

This stealthy little vaporizer is small but don’t let its looks fool you, it performs like a champ. I have spent the last week testing this device during my morning errands and it has been performing really well. There are some things I like about and some things I don’t but you can check the specs for this device and find out more about it below.

Build quality and design

The build quality is good for this device. It is constructed of stainless steel and has a silicone outer covering that is soft and easy to grip. The tank and battery are two separate pieces so you could use another tank if you had one that was the same size.

The design is a sleek and stylish pen-style body with a matching tank. I would have preferred black or white o-rings in the drip tip, I think the red is a little distracting. The power button is a little odd-shaped, it somewhat resembles a little alien head or a lightbulb.

Durability/Reliability

It is sturdy and durable and the tank is surrounded by a metal casing that protects it from falls and breaking. Which is a good thing because it does not come with a spare glass tank.

Ease of Use

This device has 1-button functionality so there is no menu or screen. Just press the button and vape. The battery indicator light on the power button changes from green to red indicating the need to charge.

Vaping Experience

For mouth-to-lung style vaping, this vape device works great. It produces some nice flavor and pretty decent clouds for being a small device.

The fact that it comes with two coils is an added bonus because it gives the option of using it two ways. I like the MTL draw and the 1.0 coil is perfect for that. I think that this device would appeal to new vapers because the draw is similar to what they are used to and it would be easy for transitioning from cigarettes.

The 0.5-ohm coil produces some pretty good clouds which would appeal to older vapers who just want a simple-to-use device. So this could be a “for everyone” type of device if you want something that you just charge and vape.

Filling

It has a top-fill design so it is simple to open and you just drip juice into one of the open fill holes underneath and you’re all set.

Leaking

I haven’t had any leaking at all with this tank. It has been working like a charm since I first started using it. I have laid it down multiple times and haven’t has a single leak so far.

Cloud

This little vaporizer puts out some pretty nice clouds for being so small. It is a vape pen so it doesn’t get up to the wattage required for big, massive clouds but it does pretty well for its size and battery limits. I would say that it produces more vapor than the average vape pen.

Flavor

I think that this tank was designed more for flavor than vapor production because it has really good flavor. It produces some pretty nice clouds too so it's a win-win in both categories.

What We Liked

+ Top fill tank
+ Easy to use
+ MTL and DTL vaping
+ Battery indicator light
+ Pass-through vaping

What We Didn't

- No replacement glass
- Can only use tanks that are 19mm
- No variety of colors with o-rings
- Tank and glass are all one piece

Value

Apollo is a known producer of quality products and their Vtube and Evolve vaporizers are quite popular with many vapers. This is available in a kit for $39.95 and comes with everything you need to get started vaping. I feel that this is a good value due to the quality of the materials and the technology used to create it.

Final Verdict

This is a nice little vape pen for someone just getting off cigarettes. They can get the feel for vaping and upgrade to another set up later on when they have some experience with it. It is extremely easy to use so transitioning will be easy because it’s close to what they have been used to with the MTL draw and the slim, pocket size of the device. Perfect for beginners who want to try something that isn’t big and bulky to carry around. I recommend this device to anyone looking for a simple, easy to use vape pen with 1-button functionality.

Halo Tracer Twist Vape Pen Review

Halo, the top line in high-quality e-cigarettes and e-liquids has created a sub ohm vape pen that performs like a mod in vapor production and power. It’s sleek and stylish like other Halo products and maintains it’s reputation for style and affordability. Read on to find out more about it.

Halo Tracer Twist Testing and Performance

The Halo Tracer Twist is a sub ohm vape pen with a powerful kick. Slightly larger than most other pen-style devices, it resembles a tube mod in size and ability. It is aesthetically appealing and has some good quality features as well. Check out the specs for this device and see how well it performs. Find out if this device would work for you.

Build quality and design

The design of the unit is attractive and very stylish. The tank blends right in with the body so it looks like it’s all one piece and has the “Halo flame” logo on the front of the battery. The whole thing looks very elegant and I like the choice of 2 drip tips. The battery is available in black or stainless steel and the 4 mil tank capacity is an added bonus.

Durability/Reliability

The device is constructed of 304 stainless steel and Pyrex glass. It feels very sturdy and solid in the hand. I have not had any issues with dropping it yet, but I think if I did it would survive just fine. It gives the impression of being a well-made device and Halo is a manufacturer of high-quality vapor products.

Ease of Use

This device is very easy to use. It is made to just fill and vape with no unnecessary fiddling. There are no menu screens, nothing to adjust but the amount of airflow on the tank. The tank is a top-fill design and easy to fill by unscrewing the top and dripping e-liquid into one of the two large juice ports.

To adjust your voltage up or down, simply twist the little dial at the bottom between 2.5 and 4.2 volts. If you're not sure where to start, set it 3.6 and slowly move up one mark until you get the flavor and vapor production you want.

Vaping Experience

As an experienced vaper, I wish vape pens like this one and the Halo Triton would have been around when I started vaping. Trying these devices out now it just amazes me how good they are and how much it would have helped me avoid going back and forth with cigarettes for so long.

I have been using this device for the past few days and I love it. It is so easy to use and I can vape while it charges. That is a big plus for me because I hate waiting for batteries to charge. The 2300mah battery lasts a pretty good amount of time as well. For a light vaper, you could probably go a couple of days between charges.

The sub ohm tank produces good clouds of vapor and nice flavor. It holds 4 mils of juice so it has a nice big tank that will last all day through work, commuting, and other activities.

Note:

When using a sub ohm tank and low resistance coils you need to use e-liquids with a higher VG concentration and lower nicotine. Sub ohm coils heat up quickly and if the e-liquid vaporizes too fast because it is too thin it can burn and make you cough terribly.

I used a high VG juice in 6mg nicotine strength with this tank because sub ohm coils need thicker liquids for better vapor production. An easy way to remember it is: high resistance coils = higher nicotine, and lower resistance coils = lower nicotine. You’ll save yourself a lot of coughing and sore throat by using high VG/low nic ratios.

Filling

Filling this tank is very simple. You just unscrew the top cap and squeeze juice into one of the two kidney-shaped juice holes (being careful to avoid the center chimney pipe). Replace the cap and continue vaping.

Leaking

This is really the only issue I had with the device as a whole, is that the tank leaks. I have learned through experience that most often tank leaks are caused by user error as long as all the seals are intact. I close off my airflow when refilling and fill when the tank is almost empty. The times I had leaking with it was when I laid it down on my desk while answering a phone call. It doesn’t leak all the time so I may have solved the issue inadvertently.

Cloud

For a vape pen, it produces some pretty good size vapor clouds. I was surprised at the amount of vapor I got with it. The sub ohm tank with this device works as well as some other tanks of similar size and resistance. The clouds aren’t as big as what you’d get with an RDA, but they are on par with tanks like the Atlantis and Subtank.

Flavor

The flavor produced by this tank is really very good for a basic tank. The flavor of the juice comes through clear and true to profile. It produces good flavor as well as nice vapor clouds.

What We Liked

+ Attractive design
+ Easy to use
+ Long battery life
+ Can vape while charging

What We Didn't

- Tank leaks when laid down
- Power button rattles a bit

Value

I have seen this device advertised for around $30 online through a couple of retailers. You get everything you need to start vaping right out of the box and the device performs well so I think it is a great value at that price. It is affordably priced and works like a more advanced tube-style mod. It is definitely worth it.

Final Verdict

The Halo Tracer Twist is an excellent choice for new vapers just starting in sub-ohm vaping. It is designed to be hassle-free so there are no menu systems to worry about or settings to adjust. You just fill it and vape it, and the vapor production is really good for a beginner’s device. I recommend it to new vapers stepping up from eGo-style batteries who want a bit more power and vapor clouds.

The Kylin RTA Review

If you are in the market for a rebuildable tank that performs like an RDA, here it is it’s the Kylin from Vandy Vape and it is drawing lots of attention due to its unique design and build deck. Read on to find out more about it and how it performs.

Kylin RTA Testing and Performance

I have spent the last week getting to know this device and so far it is performing really well. The build deck is a little different from similar RTAs but in a good way. I was a little intimidated when I took it out of the box but soon learned it was easier than it looked.

The packaging that it comes in is rather plain but it’s Okay. It comes with spare parts and extra drip tips, and even an adapter to use your own standard drip tips. Here are some specification for it and an overview of how it performed during testing.

Build quality and design

The design is really very nice. The knurling on the top cap makes it easy to grip and turn without pulling the tank up with it. The adjustable airflow control at the base clicks is easy to turn and clicks for ¼ open, ½ way, and all the way open.

I am really starting to love these postless build decks. The designs differ in each one but they are making them so easy to build on. This one makes a little cradle for your coils to sit in with plenty of airflow and room for wicking. I only used it in dual coil mode but I think it would perform just as well with a single coil.

Durability/Reliability

The stainless steel construction of the chimney and barrel sections make this RTA very sturdy. The build deck is all one piece, solid construction with no parts to come loose. The glass tank section fits snugly over a silicone band on the deck so it is easy to remove without worry of breaking and the tank does not come loose when opening the cap.

Ease of Use

The beautiful gold-plated build deck is easier to build on than it looks. At first glance, I was trying to figure out where the coils sit because there are two holes in the center (which I found out later was for airflow) and the screws to tighten your wires come in from underneath. Once I got my build in there and wicked it, the rest was easy to assemble and vape. It is pretty easy to use for an intermediate to advanced vaper.

Vaping Experience

I really enjoyed using this tank. I love RDAs and RTAs for the ability to use my own coil builds and customize it to how I vape. I like to use it in the extended mode because I like big tanks.

The postless deck is pretty easy to build on once you figure out the correct placement for your leads. You do have to trim them before installing because there is nowhere to snip them from underneath. I used a 0.3-ohm dual coil build for testing and it works just perfect. I get intense flavor and gorgeous vapor with no dry hits or gurgling.

There are slots on the sides for wicking and it does a great job of that as long as you don’t overstuff it with cotton. I like to trim my wicks at an angle and fluff out the ends. It seems to be just the right amount to fill it without being too much.

Filling

Filling the tank is super easy. Just unscrew the cap and drip your juice between the chimney and sides of the glass. There are no juice ports on this to drip into so you could literally just take the top of your bottle and pour it in but it is easy to overfill this way. I would stop just a little below the top to keep from having to wipe it down from the excess juice.

Leaking

I didn’t have any issues with leaking from the bottom, but I really think they need to put some kind of barrier piece between the top cap and glass tank so you can overfill it. When you tighten down the cap you always seem to squeeze out a little bit of juice that gets on your finger and around the top of the glass.

Cloud

The vapor production on the Kylin is stellar. It produces tons of satisfying vapor with no burning or dry hits whatsoever. The air channels underneath and along the side of the coils draw in a good amount of air to create big, fluffy clouds.

Flavor

The Kylin hits the flavor spot on. Their design and placement of the airflow holes really help create an intense flavor. The flavor sometimes gets muted in tanks, but not in this one. The barrel is rounded at the top to make the conical shape that contributes to increased flavor.

What We Liked

+ Hybrid compatible
+ Choice of Delrin drip tips
+ Ability to change from 2 mil to 6 mil
+ Choice of using single or dual coils
+ Compatible with Goon-style drip tips

What We Didn't

- No barrier between the cap and top of the tank so juice sometimes gets squeezed out the top when closing.

Value

I have seen this tank listed between $25 and $35 through various online retailers. It is definitely a popular item because many shops were out of it when I looked to get an average price.

Final Verdict

The Kylin RTA from Vandy Vape is overall a really great rebuildable tank. The postless build deck is really nice and gives the option of a single or dual coil build. You also have the option to use it in the 2mil or 6 mil mode thanks to the extra glass tank and chimney extender, and the inclusion of 2 extra drip tips lets you customize the tank the way you like it for a very affordable price.

I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a great value for the money and a well-performing tank. Vandy Vape is a well-known manufacturer of quality products and this one is no exception.

DirectVapor has what they call a "no clone zone" which is their guarantee that the products they carry are from authentic manufacturers. They will never sell you a "clone" of a popular atomizer because it's cheaper and sells quickly. They have built a foundation with their reputation for carrying only the highest quality products and won't jeopardize it to make a fast buck.  For the consumer, it means you can shop with confidence in the products you purchase.

Halo Triton 2 Vape Pen Review

If you’re a smoker switching over to vaping, having a device that satisfies your cravings for nicotine is key to your vaping success. Halo is a leading manufacturer of vapor products and their Halo Triton 2 vape pen was designed to make transitioning easy for new vapers. Read on to find out more about it.

Halo Triton 2 Testing and Performance

I am a big fan of Halo products. I fell in love with the G6 when it first came out and then the original Triton, and now the Triton 2. It is a modern-style vape pen with a (mini) sub ohm tank designed for people just getting off cigarettes. Here is an overview of the kit contents and a look at how it vapes.

Build quality and design

I like the look and design of this device. It is smooth and sleek and comes in a variety of colors.

The tank resembles a mini Protank 3 but has better airflow and is not as restricted in the draw. It is on the small side and only holds 2 mils of juice. But overall, it looks very nice and performs well for such a mall device.

Durability/Reliability

I have found this device to be very reliable and very sturdy.

I have had no issues with it and as of now, it has no scratches or marks of any kind after riding around in my purse for the last several days. It is very good for stealth vaping when you’re waiting and don’t want to draw attention with big clouds.

Ease of Use

The Halo Triton 2 is one of the easiest vape pens there is to use.

Just fill and go, that is it. The battery charges via a USB cable connected to a laptop or by wall charger. To turn it on for the first time it is 5 clicks on and then 5 clicks again to turn it off. It has only one button so there are no menu systems to memorize or settings to adjust.

Vaping Experience

I am really loving the mouth-to-lung vaping experience. There are different coil resistances for mouth-to-lung and direct-to-lung vaping, as well as longer-lasting 900 mah batteries that you use to mix and match for a customized vape.

These do not come with the kit but are available for purchase through Halo separately.

I bought the kit with two batteries because I vape a lot and one battery doesn’t last me all day. Frequent vapers like me may go through a battery quickly and need to recharge often.

The batteries recharge in about 2 hours and will last the “light or beginning vaper” all day. If you were previously a heavy smoker (more than a pack per day) I would recommend getting two batteries so you have a spare.

That way you won’t be tempted to buy cigarettes when your battery dies and you have to wait for it to charge.

This vape pen does satisfy in the flavor and vapor it produces and if you like the MTL draw you’ll love this device.

It may not be satisfying to more advanced vapers used to super low resistances because the device only reaches a max of 4.2 volts.

Filling

These tanks are easy to refill again and again. Just remove the drip tip and drip liquid right down the side between the chimney and glass, being careful to avoid the center air pipe.

Leaking

These are designed to be practically leak-proof and I have yet to have one leak on me. I have to lay it down between uses and try to keep it from rolling off the table, but I have had no leaking at all.

Cloud

The vapor production for these tanks is pretty good. You can’t compare them to the larger sub ohm tanks but they make about as much vapor as similar sized tanks like the Kanger Evod, T3 clearomizers, and e-Smart tanks.

Flavor

The flavor from these coil heads is pretty good. These are small tanks so I wasn’t expecting anything phenomenal but they do produce good flavor, a decent throat hit and pretty nice vapor.

What We Liked

+ Stylish design
+ Variety of colors
+ Single or full kit
+ Compact size
+ Charges quickly
+ Leak-proof tank

What We Didn't

- Battery life
- Tank capacity

Value

The price for the full kit is $45  which is a great value for what you get. You’ll get two batteries so you can use one while the other is charging and always have a backup. Along with the two batteries come 3 coil heads, 2 sets of drip tips and chargers so I”d call that a good value any day.

Final Verdict

What makes this vape pen great is the fact that it is easy to use, easy to fill, and produces a satisfying vaping experience and is affordably priced as well. It only has a 700 mah battery and doesn’t last that long on a single charge and there is nothing to adjust.

You can’t increase the wattage or tweak the settings so advanced vapers wouldn’t be interested in one unless they are purposely looking for simplicity.

Halo Reactor Sub-ohm Tank Review

The Halo Reactor is a sub ohm tank from a leading manufacturer of vapor products. Halo has been in business since 2009 and makes vapor products for vapers of all levels. Read on to find out if the Halo reactor is right for you.

Halo Reactor Testing and Performance

The Halo packaging for this device is very simple and straightforward. It comes in a clear plastic case with the extra parts underneath the base.

The tank comes with 1 coil head pre-installed and 2 extra coil heads with the full kit version. I tested this tank on my Eleaf 100W mod at 40W and the flavor and clouds were there but were even better at 50 and 60W. The flavor got a little more pronounced and the vapor plumes were nice.

The Halo Reactor is recommended for those who have been vaping for a little while and want to upgrade from a vape pen or other beginner device to something that makes bigger clouds.

Build quality and design

The quality of this tank is really good. Halo is known for producing quality products and this tank is one of their best products. I would recommend this tank simply because it is so easy to use.

Durability/Reliability

The tank is constructed of stainless steel and glass and is very durable. These tanks last a long time and can use different coils if the stock coils are out. This ability to use other coils makes it a good value besides the affordable price.

Ease of Use

The tank is very easy to use, fill and change the coil heads. It is a bottom fill tank so the base unscrews for access to the coil head without having to empty the tank first. I like the ability to change coils easily but would have preferred an option to fill from the top.

Vaping Experience

I got some really good flavor and vapor from this tank and no dry hits at all. I also didn’t have any leaking despite the large juice holes on each side of the coil. I had no gurgling or spit back and the drip tip stays cool, even with chain vaping.

It has bottom airflow control with a ring that clicks on each side. You just turn it all the way to the left or right to close it off or open it just a little. I like to have mine about ½ way open for a little restrictiveness for a vaping experience closer to that of a mouth-to-lung tank.

The mod that comes with the full kit looks suspiciously like an Eleaf iStick 50W so it should work great with any Eleaf mods. You could probably use these on some larger vape pens and low wattage mods.

Filling

This is a bottom fill tank and not my favorite at all. I like the tank but wish they had made it with a top fill because some vapers may have a hard time filling it down the sides between the chimney and glass. It is convenient for changing the coils since you don’t have to drain the tank but can be messy to refill.

Leaking

I didn’t have any issues with leaking or flooding/gurgling. I made sure to prime the coils before using and never got a dry hit either. One coil lasted me almost 4 weeks and may last longer for someone who vapes less frequently. The coil heads come in packs of 5 and are very

Cloud

The Reactor works really well with any of Halo’s high VG e-liquids. The tank is also compatible with Atlantis coil heads for versatility. I generally use 80VG/20PG or Max VG juices for my sub-ohm tanks and RDAs because it helps with vapor production, but the tank does this all on its own. It produces great vapor clouds comparable to some more advanced sub ohm tanks.

Flavor

The flavor of this tank is really good. The coil heads are made with organic cotton and wick really well. The large juice ports on the sides of the coil help it soak up the juice for continuous wicking without dry hits or burning. In most RDAs and RTAs, your flavor is determined by the build, wicking material, and the airflow to your coils. Halo uses these same principles in this sub ohm tank to produce clouds and flavor on the level of more advanced tanks.

What We Liked

+ 5 mil Pyrex glass tank
+ Tight-fitting glass drip tip
+ Stainless steel construction
+ Adjustable airflow control
+ Easy to take apart and clean

What We Didn't

- Drip tip doesn’t fit snugly

Value - $26.75 (tank only) $37 for battery

This tank can be purchased in a kit with the mod, or separately by itself. It is priced affordably as a single device but may be a better value as part of a starter kit with extra coil heads and accessories.

Final Verdict

For a basic sub ohm tank, this works pretty well. It is perfect for new vapers just getting into sub-ohm vaping because there is very little to adjust and the .05 ohm coil heads produce good clouds of vapor and good flavor. Advanced vapers who prefer basic tanks would also love this device because it can be used on any mod with great results.

TFV8 Baby Beast Sub-ohm Tank Review

If you’re a fan of Smok tanks you’ll love the junior version of this popular tank. It has all the best features of the original in a mini version - The Smok TFV8 Baby Beast is the smaller version of the popular Cloud Beast. How does it compare to the larger version? Let’s find out.

TFV8 Baby Beast Testing and Performance

I have had my TFV8 Baby Beast for a while now and decided it was time to put it back in my rotation and give it a brand new coil and some new juice for the purpose of this review. Smok is a leading manufacturer of vape tanks and always produces a high-quality product.

I took this tank with me on a 4-day trip to a family camp out. I purchased a brand new coil and bottle of Naked 100 Hawaiian POG to test it with. Below are some details about the tank and an overview of how it performed during the testing period.

During the testing period, I had no issues with gurgling or spit back. I made sure to prime my coils ahead of time and got delicious vapor with every hit.

Build quality and design

Design-wise, it is almost identical to the Cloud Beast. It has the same features in a smaller package and no rebuildable coil. It has the same top-fill with gasket seal just like the bigger version with the twist and lock seal. It is available in various colors including black, ss, silver, blue, purple, pink, gold and red. I have the blue tank and it looks very nice on top my Smok Alien 220W mod.

Durability/Reliability

This is a very solid, durable tank that will last you for years. I’ve had mine for two years now and it’s still going strong. I had put it away temporarily to test out some newer RDAs and RTAs but it’s still one of my favorites.

Ease of Use

The TFV8 is extremely easy to use. The coil head installs at the base and all the parts are easy to remove for cleaning. The top of the chimney sits under the cap and is all one piece so it screws directly onto the top of the coil when assembling. There is a spare glass tank included in case you break one.

Vaping Experience

I get a really nice vape from this tank. The vapor is cool and cloud production is really good. It’s not quite as good as the Cloud Beast on vapor production but I also don’t vape at 100W either so I didn’t expect it to. The vapor production at 65W is cool to slightly warm which is where I like it and the clouds are nice and fluffy.

Filling

This is a top-fill tank with the swivel-out top. To open it just push down and turn to the side to reveal a kidney-shaped juice port under the cap. Put your bottle tip in there and fill. As always, remember to close of your airflow before opening the cap to fill. This reduces a lot of leaking some experience with this tank.

Leaking

On the subject of leaking, I have had this leak on me before and it was due to not closing off the airflow before opening, and the fact that my gasket under the top cap was worn. If you have any problems with leaking check those two things and it should put an end to it.

Cloud

The vapor production on this tank is good. I get really good vapor from both coil heads. I like the stainless steel coil because I like using temperature control, but I think I get a little bit better vapor using the Kanthal coil head. They just seem to have a bit more “body” to me. Smok calls their coil heads “turbo engine coils”. I don’t know why, but I will agree they are good.

Flavor

The Naked 100 Hawaiian POG juice that I purchased for this review is really good. It is a tropical fruit flavor with notes of passion fruit, orange, and guava. Those flavors came through beautifully and were right on point. I was able to taste each flavor, including the orange that I didn’t taste in one of the other tanks I tested. This is a good one for flavor, so if you’re a flavor chaser you’ll love this little guy.

What We Liked

+ Top-fill tank system
+ 3 ml tank capacity
+ Wide-bore Delrin drip tip
+ Bottom airflow control
+ Turbo engine coil system

What We Didn't

- Really isn't anything not to like

Value

I bought mine a few years ago, but I recently saw these listed on a couple of online vape shops for $20 - $25. This is a good price for a quality tank that also comes with spare parts and accessories. I like that they included the stainless steel coil for temperature control lovers.

Final Verdict

At the time it came out, everyone was buying up the Cloud Beast so I did too. I found however that I didn’t like the “big beast” as much as I thought I would. In the smaller version, I find that I get all the same features of the big one in ⅓ of the size. I get good airflow, great flavor, and vapor and I would definitely recommend it as something that is a good value as well. If you haven’t got one of these yet, get one because they’re affordably priced.

The Troll RTA Review

If you like the performance of an RDA with juice capacity of a tank, then look no further than the Troll RTA by Wotofo. The Wotofo name has long been synonymous with high-quality products and this one is no exception. Here is a breakdown of the features and an overview of how it performs.

The Troll RTA Testing and Performance

If you are familiar with the Toll RDA from Wotofo this RTA is the successor to the Troll and Troll V2. It has a 1-post, velocity-style deck with side -mounted screws. This is different than other types of similar RTAs and may be what contributes to the great flavor and cloud production.

I love the box that this comes in. There’s a little art deco on the front cover that’s a nice change from just the image of the product. The packaging is very attractive.

I’m a big fan of RDAs and love to try out new builds and wicking techniques. The deck is large enough to accommodate big (3mm) coils with side slots for tucking the wicks into. There is a tendency to stuff cotton down into the slots but I found that if I cut my wicks at an angle on one side they fit perfect without crowding the slots. I didn’t experience any dry hits or leaking. I also like the stature of this RTA, it’s a little short and stubby and looks good on any mod I use it on.

I like the 5 ml tank capacity. I’m one of those people that like to juice and go. I don’t want to carry bottles around with me.

Build quality and design

You cannot use your own drip tips with this RTA because the chuff cap is all one piece and is threaded so it screws down onto the chimney section. The threading is very smooth though, no worry of cross-threading, it only goes one direction and fits securely.

Despite the look of the build deck, it is actually pretty easy to build on. It is similar to a velocity-style deck except that there is one post with 4 holes (two horizontal posts stacked on top of each other) that sits midway up the on the deck. There are two air tubes right beneath the post holes and a peak insulator in the middle of the post section. I have heard people say that these insulators have melted on them, but I didn’t have any issues with them getting too hot because I like to keep my coils low and leave space away from the posts.

Durability/Reliability

The chimney section is all one piece and the chuff cap/top cap is all one section as well. Everything fits together smoothly and stays tight. The combination of stainless steel and Pyrex glass makes it very sturdy and durable in my opinion. This is a tank I can see myself owning for years and years.

Ease of Use

The build deck looks a little intimidating at first until you realize that the coils go in the same place as always. It just looks a little off-putting, but the build and wicking are all the same. Once you have it all put together and add your juice it is the easiest thing to use. Simple and easy to use, this is a great tank for just about anybody.

Vaping Experience

I am really liking this RTA. I am a big fan of Wotofo products anyway and this one is great as well. It has great flavor and makes big clouds of vapor. The airflow is really smooth with no whistling or noise. It does feel just a bit restrictive but in a good way. It adds to the experience. Opening and closing the airflow is easy and it stops on each side (no turning and turning to get back to where you were). It’s nice and snug and stays right where you put it.

Filling

Filling the tank is super easy. The top cap unscrews and you have two large juice ports there to choose from. They are large enough for big bottle tips or even pouring straight from the bottle if you don’t like to wait.

Leaking

During the testing period, I had no instances of leaking. I did close off the airflow control when refilling the tank and never filled it when it was ½ full. I waited until it was nearly empty to avoid the vacuum suction pulling the juice down into the airflow holes.

Cloud

The vapor production on the Troll RTA is really good. Using the included fused Clapton coils and Japanese cotton, the clouds produced from this build are big and voluminous. I had my wattage set at 60W and the vapor produced by the 0.3-ohm coils was fantastic. After vaping continuously for about 10 minutes I nearly fogged up the whole room. It definitely chucks the clouds.

Flavor

I got some of the best flavor I have ever had from an RTA. It may be due to the design of the deck and chimney, not sure. But whatever it is, it really works to bring out the flavor in your juice. I am loving it.

What We Liked

+ Great flavor
+ Easy to build on
+ Makes big fluffy clouds
+ Dual adjustable airflow
+ Easy to take apart and clean

What We Didn't

- I really didn’t care for the small screwdriver that comes with the RTA. It doesn’t fit the screw heads and I can see them stripping over time with this tool. It’s just a bit too small.

Value

The value question here is hands down, yes. I have found this atomizer between $28 - $35 through various online retailers. For the price, this is a great value. When previously looking for similar RTAs, prices in the range of $60 - $80 is not uncommon for well-made high-quality atomizers.

Final Verdict

I love all of Wotofo’s products, I think they really matched the features of the Troll RDA in an RTA version. It delivers great flavor and great vapor at a budget price. I would definitely recommend this RTA to anyone looking for a Gennie-style atomizer that is easy to build on and vapes like a dream.

The Geekvape Tsunami RDA Review

It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but there is a lot going on under the top cap. The Geekvape Tsunami is a Velocity-style RDA with a deck reminiscent of a Kennedy. See how these two designs come together to create an awesome vaping experience.

GeekVape Tsunami Testing and Performance

I love Geekvape products and own the Griffin 25 and Alpha Tanks. I was glad to add the Tsunami RDA to my Geekvape collection. I have been using it for about a week and a half and it has been doing great. It has some pros and cons, but my overall impression of it is pretty good.

I did find that because of the very large post holes I had to build bigger coils. The 2.5mm coils I used before looked tiny compared to the bigger posts, and I felt that I would get better performance if I adjusted the coil size.

Build quality and design

The design for the Geekvape Tsunami may seem a little “plain jane” for most people. It resembles similar RDAs in shape and size with the exception of the bottom airflow slots. You can adjust the airflow by turning the barrel when it is on the mod. It turns in one direction so if it goes past where you want it just keep turning since it does not lock in place.

Build Deck

The build deck has a velocity-style two-post deck that reminds me very much of my Griffin RTA. The post-holes on the Tsunami RDA are a little bigger for thick-gauge wire and Clapton builds. The post holes are 3mm x 2mm so you can fit some good size coils in there.

The only drawback to me on this design is the air holes crowd the wicks a little bit. I have the same problem in my Griffin and had to trim the wicks at a diagonal to thin them out but still be long enough to touch the deck.

Well Capacity

It does have a deep juice well ( 5mm) which I like. I prefer to make my wicks fluffy and full so they absorb more because I like not having to drip so often. The Delrin drip tips are wide enough to drip juice right down in the top without having to remove the barrel.

Durability/Reliability

It is constructed of stainless steel and feels very sturdy. I have had the occasion where it has rolled off my desk to the floor (about 3 feet) and there wasn’t a knick or scratch on it. It feels well-made and slightly heavy.

Ease of Use

The large deck and roomy post holes make building on this deck really easy. There are no pieces to remove, nothing to really fiddle with. Just make your coil and wick them. That is pretty much all there is to it.

I do think this would be good for beginning to intermediate vapers because it is so easy to build on.

Vaping Experience

The vape I get from this RDA is really good. I get lots of vapor and flavor and little to no spit back at all. If I over-drip I get a little, so I have to let it get a little dry before adding more juice.

I like the fact that they included two extra drip tips as well as the 510 adapter. I’m not a big fan of the conical (cone-shaped) drip tips, but I like the regular Delrin and stainless steel drip tips and the ability to use my own if I want.

Leaking

I never really experienced any leaking, and I don’t know that I would call it leaking, but a little juice does pool up once in a while underneath the base where it is joined to the mod. It may be more of a condensation issue than leaking. I just find myself needing to give it a wipe with a tissue when changing from the RDA to a tank.

Cloud

I have been getting really good vapor production with my current build in this RDA. I have a dual 0.5 ohm spaced coil build, run it at 65W, and have the airflow about ¾ open. With it set up like this the vapor clouds are thick and dense. It’s got great vapor.

Flavor

The flavor produced by an RDA depends on the build you put in it and your wicking material. I like to build 24g wide-spaced macro coils with Japanese cotton for the wicks. With this build, I get good flavor and great vapor production. Individual results may vary. If you use smaller, tighter coils your flavor may be more or less intense.

What We Liked

+ Velocity-style post design
+ Single or dual coil option
+ Adjustable airflow control
+ Dual O-rings on base for a snug fit
+ Drip tips are threaded and screw onto top cap
+ Included 510 adapter for preferred drip tips

What We Didn't

- Wicking is a little bit crowded by air tubes
- E-liquid sometimes pools underneath the base
- Little more noise than I like (airflow whistle)

Value

The price for this RDA is between $15 and $25 through most online retailers. It is a good value for such a well-performing dripper with adjustable airflow control. It is a popular item and sells out quickly, so if you find one snap it up before it’s gone.

Final Verdict

Like all the previous Geekvape products, this one is a winner. It is well-made, performs fantastic, and is affordably priced (less than $30). If you are like me and like the option of using single or dual coils, then I would recommend you get one of these. It is a nice RDA to have in your vaping collection.

Naked 100 Hawaiian POG Juice Review

If you like e-liquid that sweet and reminds you of a tropical island vacation, then you’ll love this Hawaiian POG from the Naked 100 line. Read on to find out more about it and see how it vapes.

A little about the company:

USA Vape Lab is the manufacturer of the Naked 100 and Schwartz e-liquid lines. They have been in business in southern California since 2016. The popular Naked 100 juice line includes a collection of fruits, creams, sweet and tart Fusions, and robust tobaccos.

Naked 100 Hawaiian POG Testing and Performance

The subject of this review will be the Naked100 Hawaiian POG, which is a tropical blend of passion fruit, orange, and guava. I am using this in a tank with a standard blend of 70PG/30VG at 12mg of nicotine.

Value

This is a great value for a 60 ml bottle priced at $20. Most juices in the same size bottles are almost twice that for premium juice. I believe the 60 ml size is all they make, I haven't seen anything larger than that.

Vape Flavor

It is very sweet and satisfying for a fruity flavor. On the inhale, I get a tasty swirl of passion fruit and guava. These two flavors seem to stand out over the orange. It’s in there it is just not pronounced. Maybe it is to balance the other two flavors and smooth them out. I am not sure. It is very flavorful though and a nice vape. I could see myself using this as my all-day vape.

It is one of those flavors that is sweet like you expect it to be, but not over the top or a candy-type flavor. It is a true tropical fruit flavor blend with a nice little throat hit.

Vapor Cloud

Vapor production on this juice is good as well. It has more than I expected for a thinner juice. It’s not a ton of vapor because I’m not using it on my RDA due to the higher amount of nicotine. I am using the standard ratio of 70/30 but if you get the 6mg in a higher VG you’ll probably get even more vapor than I did.

I did not get the opportunity to use this on my RDA because I didn’t think to buy an extra bottle in high VG. I like to test juices in both tanks and RDAs because the flavor and vapor production change from one to the other. Flavors that may seem muted in tanks will pop in an RDA. Something to keep in mind when you shop for juice in the future.

What We Liked

+ Wonderful tropical flavor
+ sweet, but not too sweet
+ Smooth throat hit
+ Good amount of vapor

What We Didn't

- Need this in 100 ml bottles, bigger sizes

Final Verdict

Tropical flavors are one of my favorites. I love orange, pineapple, banana, passion fruit and more.

The citrus flavors just really pop and feel like Sunday brunch. I like this flavor and would like to see it available in larger bottles. The price for this juice is very good and I wouldn’t mind paying more for larger sizes.

The Goon RDA Review

The Goon RDA is the product of a collaboration between 528 Customs and a coil builder on Instagram named BlueEyedGoon83.The result of this is a well-made RDA with a slightly different, but awesome build style. This RDA is fast becoming a popular item and for good reason.

The Goon RDA Testing and Performance

I have had this RDA for about a week now and I am loving it. I love the clamp-style build deck. It is so easy to use. I thought it would be more complicated than it was. I was surprised that I could build a dual coil build and fit it in so easy.

I had heard there was a learning curve to it if you were used to velocity or Kennedy-style decks. Well, I think it’s great and so simple that even a new builder could do it. The clamps raise right up to allow your leads to be fitted underneath and tighten down to hold your build in securely.

I have used both single and dual builds in here and both work well. The clamps accommodate thicker wire gauges and twisted wires for making Clapton coils. Plus I like the Phillips-head screws, they the are a perfect size and I had no trouble unscrewing them or tightening (no stripping). Here are the specs for this device and a little bit about how it vapes.

Build Quality and Design

The build quality of this RDA is beautiful. It’s machined perfectly and the threads are smooth. The O-rings keep everything nice and tight-fitting, but not too tight. The barrel and drip tip is easy to remove for dripping juice or tightening coils. I like the etched logo for 528 Customs on the side, it looks very stylish.

Build Deck

The build deck on the Goon RDA is nice and big. I had plenty of room for large builds without any squeezing. Clapton coils fit perfectly in there and it is really easy to build on. If you have just started building coils this deck is a little different than the velocity-style decks but once you’ve done it it is easy-peasy.

Well Capacity

One thing I totally love about this RDA is the deep juice well. I didn’t have to leave my wicks long to wick up the juice, as long as the tails touch the bottom of the well they wick perfectly. Also, I can drip a whole milliliter of juice in it with no leaking or spit back.

Durability/Reliability

As for durability, it is constructed of stainless steel and extremely durable. The barrel and top cap of this unit resist scratching and dents. I have dropped this RDA a time or two while changing to a tank. A 3-foot drop from my desk table and it didn’t show a single mark.

Ease of Use

This dripper is easy to use and easy to build on. All the pieces fit together perfectly with no problems. The adjustable pieces turn smoothly like the airflow control and the removable barrel section sits on top the lower build deck instead of coming down over it.

Vaping Experience

I put a 0.5 dual coil build in this RDA and the clouds and flavor were fantastic. The vapor is dense and thick and the flavor is good.

The airflow control settings work perfectly for me. I like to vape it with one hole closed off, it does have a slight whistle to it, but if I turn it just a hair, it stops. I can live with it, it’s not a dealbreaker for me.

I also like that I can use it in single or dual coil mode. I use dual coils most often but there are sometimes when I’m in a hurry and just throw in a single coil. So I am glad they included that option.

Leaking

There is no leaking at all since the airflow is near the top. The barrel also sits on top the lower deck so there is nowhere for the juice to leak out of. Unless you laid it on its side when it was freshly juiced, it shouldn’t leak at all.

Cloud

The draw on this is smooth and it makes tons of clouds. I think the increased airflow definitely helps to make voluminous clouds of vapor. Also, a tip that I got from another builder was to keep your wicks to the side with this RDA. The unrestricted airflow beneath the coil helps improve flavor and vapor production.

Flavor

The flavor from this dripper is as good as it gets in my opinion. An RDA is known to produce some of the best flavors and this one is no exception. Fruit flavors are crisp and sweet and taste just like drinking a juice box as a kid. Those flavors you remember from childhood.

What We Liked

+ Hybrid-mod compatible
+ Can use Kennedy drip tips
+ Wide-bore Delrin drip tip
+ Nice deep juice well
+ Single and dual coil option
+ Large adjustable air flow holes
+ Can adjust down to a single hole

What We Didn't

- Gold plated clamps bend a little after some use (not necessarily a con)
- Slight whistle with only 2 air holes open ( also not necessarily a con)

Value

This RDA is priced between $50 - $60 through most online retailers. I feel that this is a high-end piece of vape gear and worth spending a little more for such good quality.

Final Verdict

This RDA has been a joy to use. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes RDAs or is thinking about buying one. It’s so easy to build on and the clamps securely hold your coils in place with no issues. Price-wise, $60 may seem a little steep to some but it’s not for something that is made this well and performs as it does.

Candy King Strawberry Watermelon Bubble Gum E-liquid Review

Strawberry and watermelon combined with an old favorite, bubble gum. Three classic flavors in one e-liquid. This review is on the line of flavors from DripMore called Candy King. There are other types of juices in this line as well such as Tropical King, Milk King and Candy King on Salt.

About Candy King

DripMore is the manufacturer of the Candy King line of flavors. Candy King is one designation in this line for all flavors resembling popular candy flavors like bubble gum, sour batch, Swedish fish, and gummy worms. I could not find any history on the company such as where they originated from or their mission statement. I am always curious to know a little about the companies I buy my vape products from. Unfortunately, I did not find the information I was looking for. DripMore does have a website but does not list an "About US" page for any information about the company outside of its products.

My Stand on Candy Flavors

I was a little bit hesitant to review candy flavors due to the issues in vaping and the flavors debate. But these are flavors that appeal to adults as well. I think as long as the manufacturers change the packaging to reflect a more mature look and don't design them to look like candy packages currently on store shelves, it should be alright. As I mentioned before in other reviews I love skittles, Swedish fish and watermelon jolly ranchers and I would vape these flavors as well. As long as we are responsible for packaging that reflects adult consumers there shouldn't be a problem.

My Experience With Strawberry Watermelon Bubble Gum

This flavor comes in a large economy size bottle of 100ml for $24.95 at a 20PG/80VG blend. I am testing this juice on a Lush RDA with a 0.62-ohm atomizer on my T-Priv 220W mod. I always test new flavors on clean cotton so I know I'm getting the true flavor of the juice every time. I have the wattage set to 50W and the flavor and vapor production are both very good. The flavor gets more intense if you turn up the wattage, which is fine be

On the inhale, I get a light strawberry flavor. On the exhale, the watermelon kicks in followed by a very mild bubble gum flavor. The gum flavor at the end is very subtle and brings it all together in a very nice, enjoyable flavor. If you're a fan of strawberry or watermelon gum you will definitely like this one.

The throat hit is very smooth for a 6mg nicotine strength. The strawberry and watermelon flavor are sweet like you’d expect for a candy flavor and the bubble gum is very light. The flavors come together nicely without any one flavor overpowering any of the others. Candy King flavors are available in 0, 3, and 6mg nicotine strength and all are the same 20/80VG formulation. These are mostly for dripping on low resistance RDAs.

Vape Flavor

The flavor is nice and sweet. I could see myself using this as an all day vape. I love watermelon and strawberry so I would definitely buy this flavor again. It is not too sweet, just a nice balance of flavors. I have heard good things about some of the other flavors in the line as well and will be adding them to my list of juices to review.

Vapor Cloud

This formulation is a 20PG/80VG juice and clouds are plentiful. The high VG content produces big, fluffy clouds of sweet tasting vapor. It smells really good as well. Vape this while sitting in the car and you’ll fog up your windows quickly.

What We Liked

+ Nice sweet flavor
+ Good vapor production
+ High VG ratio
+ Economy-sized bottles

What We Didn't

- Nothing really to dislike about this juice

Value

This 100 ml bottle was $24.95 and will last me about a month or so. These large bottles are a great value because you can stock up on them for a low price and have juice for a long, long time. This is a really good value for the money. These big bottles last a good long time, especially for light to average vapers.

Final Verdict

I like this flavor by Candy King and will be checking some of the others very soon. If you like fruit flavors and bubble gum, you’ll love this flavor. It tastes very similar to the flavor of “Hubba Bubba’ bubble gum. It’s a very nice flavor and something you can vape without overdoing it. There is no harshness in the e-liquid at all so there is nothing to irritate your throat with extended vaping.

Charlies Chalk Dust Slam Berry E-liquid Review

Sweet strawberries mixed with vanilla ice cream. That drums up images of trips to the berry patch and making homemade ice cream in the bucket. We have an electric ice cream maker and strawberry is one of my favorite flavors so this should be interesting. This is one of their many flavors and promises to be something special.

About Charlie’s Chalk Dust

I wanted to find out more about the company but wasn’t able to find much online. Their website has a little back story about where the name came from, which is nice and gives a little history of the founder, Charlie, as a kid. The idea of the chalk dust comes from a chalkboard that his father would write their restaurant's daily specials on. The dust would settle on the top of a bell that sat next to it. I would have liked to discover where the company is headquartered, what their mission is, and how they approach making their e-liquids. Unfortunately, I was not able to find any of this on the website or their Facebook page.

My Experience With Slam Berry E-liquid

As a kid, ice cream to me came in buckets with strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. I have been a fan of strawberry ice cream for a long time so when I read the description for this e-liquid, I was pumped. Many flavors like this claim to have an “ice cream” type flavor, but in truth few actually do.

I really like the design on the bottle. It’s the “black label” series with white lettering. It’s a very nice-looking label and comes in a glass bottle with dropper. I have seen two different designs for this series, one in black bottles with gold and purple. And the other with the clear glass bottles with the white label and artistic imaging on the front. Both are very stylish and eye-catching. I think the black is meant to be more intense and exclusive. I think they designed these bottles to appeal to different types of shoppers and apparently, this works well for both designs.

I got the 15 mil bottle for $13 in 6 mg strength for testing on my RDA. I am testing it on my Reuleaux 200W mod with my Dead Rabbit RDA at 60W. I usually like to test new flavors on my RDA first and then in one of my tanks to see if the flavor changes any with more restricted airflow.

When I open the bottle I get a scent of strawberry and cream. It is light and smells almost like opening a jar of strawberry jam. I put a few drops on my freshly-wicked Dead Rabbit and hit the fire button. Oh, this is really good. It doesn't taste like jam or have that artificial sweetener flavor ( or should say the undertones of artificial sweetener).

Vape Flavor

On the inhale, I get the strawberry flavor followed by a creamy flavor on the exhale. There is no real ice cream flavor I can detect, but it is very good. The flavor is nice and is something I could use as an all-day vape.

I was really hoping this would be more like a real ice cream flavor but it is closer to a strawberry milk or maybe milkshake in my opinion. It is very tasty, and I like it. I was expecting something different and it’s kind of a let-down. But as a flavor, it is really good and if you like strawberry milk you’ll love this one. This flavor is actually very similar to another e-liquid brand but I think the flavor in this one is a little bit better.

Vape Cloud

The formulations for these bottles is 60VG/40PG so it does make some really nice clouds. It is probably more suited for tanks at 40PG but for testing purposes, it works. I got some really nice cloud production and fogged up the room after about 5 good hits with the airflow all the way open. I also used this in my Uforce tank and got some pretty nice vapor from it there as well. The flavor was still good but not as pronounced as it is on the RDA. Still very good on both atomizers for flavor and vapor.

What We Liked

+ Nice sweet flavor of strawberry and cream
+ Not a candy strawberry flavor
+ Good flavor and good vapor production
+ Economy-sized bottles

What We Didn't

-The 60 ml bottle is priced at $19.99 which is a good value for such a big bottle. It is priced in the same range as other premium e-liquids of the same size. I purchased a smaller bottle for testing, but the larger one is a better value.

Value

I don’t mind paying more for e-liquids that really suit me. It is hard to find some flavors that you really like and when you do you should stock up on it.

Final Verdict

Everyone’s taste buds are different so it’s always a good idea to try new flavors, whether you end up liking them or not. Your tastes will change over time and you’ll find more flavors you enjoy. Some vapers often pick up on flavors that others don’t. If you don’t taste a certain flavor come back and try it again later.

Your ability to taste certain flavors is determined by many factors and if you happen to be sick or have a stuffy nose, it can affect your sense of taste. I have had a bit of a cold the past few days so it could be affecting my ability to taste certain flavors. All in all, I like it. It has a good flavor, makes good vapor, and it's priced affordably so If I was in the market for a strawberry milk I would buy this one.

Although it didn’t taste like ice cream to me, I still enjoyed it and will use the rest of the bottle. I may even buy a larger bottle because it is really a good-tasting juice. I definitely recommend it to vapers who like strawberries and cream flavors.
